Paramahamsa Yogananda was an Indian spiritual guru who brought Kriya Yoga to the attention of Western audiences. After dedicating years to teaching yoga and meditation in the United States, Paramahamsa Yogananda attained Mahasamadhi in 1952 at the age of 59.
