Sri Sathya Sai Balavikas movement was initiated by Sri Sathya Sai Baba with the noble aim of blossoming of human excellence in the children. The main objective is to mould the children of today into worthy citizens. The Balavikas Education brings an awareness in the children about the brotherhood of man and the fatherhood of god. it also teaches that the precious wealth of a human being is Sathya, Dharma, Shanti, Prema and Ahimsa.

To cater to the needs of teachers and students, Balavikas -1,2 and 3 are brought out as textbooks for children aged 4 to 8,9 to 11 and 12 to 14 years, respectively. This book is Balavikas-1
