The Narada Purana, written in Sanskrit, comprises two Vaishnavism texts. One of these texts, the Brihannaradiya Purana, is considered a Major Purana, while the other is viewed as a Minor Purana (Upapurana).
The Brihannaradiya Purana primarily focuses on Vishnu worship, contrasting with the Naradiya text's 41 chapters. This text dedicates 20% to Vishnu worship and 80% to various subjects, including a substantial collection of travel guides (Mahatmya) for temples and locations along the Ganges River and nearby regions.
Notably, the Naradiya Purana uniquely allocates eighteen chapters to discussing other Puranas, with one chapter summarizing each Major Purana. Within these chapters, numerous devotional stories are detailed, highlighting the virtues of glory, Varnashram Dharma, devotion, various types of mantras, sacred texts, pilgrimages, the significance of charity, and the worship of Lord Vishnu.
