Self-Realisation, the first major biography of Sri Ramana Maharshi, was written by B.V. Narasimha Swami and published in 1931. This book awoke a slumbering nation to the existence of a rare divinity abiding on the slopes of Arunachala, an ancient spirutually charged mountain in the land of Tamil Nadu. About the same time, around the year 1930 while B.V. Narasimha Swami was residing at Sri Ramanasramam, he also started another literary work - a recreation of Kavyakantha Ganapati Muni's Sri Ramana Gita in its original conversational, question and answer form.
