This small Treatise Swatma Nirupanam contains 154 verses, each having two lines. It begins with the adoration of the Guru and an enumeration of the qualifications required of the disciple.
The Atma is distinguished from the five kosas, and though not perceivable is not external as it is the self luminous. The Mahakavya TATTVMASI is explained in sttements irrefutable for their logic with the help of illustrations. The nature of Brahman is dilated upon both in its absolute state and in its relation to the Universe. The exuberance of the joy of the disciple who succeeds in realising the Truth taught by the Guru is conveyed in 40 verses in language peerless for its sweetness and scintilating boldness of expressing in keeping with a state that is beyond anything the mind can comprehend.
