The Mind and Its Mysteries

Man is caught in the cortex of the mind. He finds it very difficult to extricate himself from its clutches. Even the mighty Arjuna expressed his helplessness to Lord Krishna when he declared: "Chanchalam Hi Manah Krishna Pramathi Balavadrudham" (this mind is very unsteady, turbulent and powerful) Bhagawan gives a simple answer to this knotty problem by saying that one can gain control over the mind by directing it towards God chanting His name. Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba delivered a series of nine discourses during the Dasara festival of 1976 on the mind and its nature. This book is a compilation of those discourses which are enlightening and inspiring to aspirations progressing on the path of spirituality.
